I used to go to the action house all the time to see the Vagrants. They were always fantastic.

My friend and I used to follow The Vagrants all over Long Island in the mid/late 60's when we were still in high school. We used to wait backstage to give them flowers in the typical hippie fashion of the day, then cadge a lift back to the City with the roadies in the van. Nice to know the band is still remembered and has [eventually] gotten the recognition it deserved.

I recall going to the Village Theatre- before it was the Fillmore East- and intending to see a headline act, The Doors. Turned out for me, the headline and memory act was The Vagrants, who preceded them. Damn, they smoked, had to be fall, '68.
